Rhinelander Mayor Richard Johns (left), and WPEG.net Executive Producer James Lillis talk in front of the mayor's disgraceful display of the American Flag in the mayor's office July '09.
For the past 17 months the Mayor of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Mr. Dick Johns, has displayed the American Flag in his office in an illegal and disgraceful manner. In July of 2009, Mr. Lillis forwarded the US Flag Code to both the Mayor, and City Administrator Mr. William Bell, in hopes of getting this disgraceful display corrected. As of today, September 21, 2009 neither of them apparently care enough about how the American Flag is displayed within the mayor's office in the Rhinelander, Wisconsin City Hall building!
Shame shame shame!
This goes to the top of the shame shame shame pile given the fact that Mayor Johns' is a veteran Purple Heart recipient.

Two months after Terry Fondow swears he isn't a corporate "Hired Gun" for the RHS Districts Dirty Work, and within days of the Historical event in Washington DC, (in case you missed it, "the first Black President Get's Sworn In" ((not once but Twice no less)), Terry Fondow, RHS principal (WI DPI File # 084139), writes "The Letter" which will make history all by itself.

Rhinelander High School principle Terry Fondow denies he's a hired corporate raider,
hatchet man, or Grim Reaper for the Rhinelander School District.

Rhinelander High School principle says he has no credibility!

How open are the lines of communication between the school board and it's constituents?
As of 10-6-08, email addresses connecting the School Board to it's constituents have been removed from the RSD web site!
Roger Erdahl Perhaps an email would be in order asking this question.
While home addresses and phone numbers are posted on the RSD web site, it seems that the board has taken the remedial mentality to actually stop communicating with those that have elected them to serve the direction of their school district via the internet. With this move it appears that the gorge that sees fewer lines of communications open to and from it's community, is getting wider. Is this a move by the board to hold back costs for school district cash, or just an avenue of communication that's been shut down. Has the board been using email accounts to communicate on issues outside of reported gatherings or holding conversations that perhaps violate acceptable e-commuications rules of the land.
Obviously this is not what community openness, cooperation, or negotiations is about. This approach to mending the void will surely not work for any of the groups that should have a vested interest in our children and this community.
Election Night Rumors:
School Board members were sent to polling place to act as observers, or was that a thug move by the RSD to try to put pressure on it's voters to vote yes to referendum issues? At least those who were at the polls had the sense to not wear their jackboots.

WISCONSIN, ONEIDA COUNTY
01/20/09 Rhinelander School District makes headway with it's public relations thrust with . . . "The Letter" as it's being called, is being sent out to a host of public, and private, parties in the city, county, and State Department of Education in the hopes that the children of Rhinelander School District and the community at large, will be brought to a better place through a complete revamping of RHS district administrative personnel. The community seems to be saying that a clean sweep of all administrators and board members will be the only way to accomplish "hope and change" for our children. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.
11/18/08 Has the School Board hired the Grim Reaper to put the fear of God into the Cassian/Woodboro voters with a "poison pill" or "scorched earth" scenario? Rhinelander principle Terry Fondow claims he is NOT a corporate raider, or a hatchet man with no connections to the area, or that he's been hired by the RSD to come into the Rhinelander area to execute corporate raider tactics called Scorched Earth tactic. A classic corporate raider move and the signs are everywhere, if you just look and listen. To date, the Rhinelander School District is following a standard course of action that most boards of directors follow when involved in dealing with take over's. As the school board and administrators continue to pursue referendum issues after the voting public has served up a healthy dose of fiscal responsibility, it's hard to see this move by the board as anything but a "Scorched Earth" tactic. We'll just scare the public into doing something we didn't want to tell them before we put our referendum to a miserable death. This a very similar move deployed in other communities at the 11th hour. Perhaps the principle is not the Grim Reaper of Rhinelander though, and maybe you need to Listen To The Audio, and judge for yourself. Wikipedia* A corporate raid is a business term for buying a large interest in a corporation and then using voting rights to enact measures directed at increasing the share value. The measures might include replacing top executives, downsizing operations, or liquidating the company. By the end of the 1980s, management of many large publicly traded corporations reacted negatively to the threat of potential hostile takeover or corporate raid and pursued drastic defensive measures including poison pills, golden parachutes and increasing debt levels on the company's balance sheet. Wikipedia* The scorched-earth defense is a form of risk arbitrage and anti-takeover strategy. When a target firm implements this provision, it will make an effort to make it unattractive to the hostile bidder. For example, a company may agree to liquidate or destroy all valuable assets, also called "crown jewels", or schedule debt repayment to be due immediately following a hostile takeover. In some cases, a scorched-earth defense may develop into an extreme anti-takeover defense called a "poison pill". Poison pill is a term referring to any strategy, generally in business or politics, to increase the likelihood of negative results over positive ones for a party that attempts any kind of takeover. It derives from its original meaning of a literal poison pill carried by various spies throughout history, taken when discovered to eliminate the possibility of being interrogated for the enemy's gain.

============================================================================= 11/13/08 Rhinelander Principle Terry Fondow Claims he doesn't have credibility! At a recent public meeting held in the RHS auditorium about 150 people heard Terry Fondow say that he doesn't have any credibility! (Click here to hear sound byte)
What will the Rhinelander School system look like after 2 million dollars is ripped from our existing budget every year for the next 5 years. Yes, that's 10 million Dollars over the next 5 years. Don't let the Rhinelander School Board pull the wool over your eyes anymore. This $ 2,000,000.00 million dollars has NOTHING to do with the referendum that the school board was trying to pass. Did the school board keep this vital community information in the closet until after the November vote? Did the RHS school board put a gag order on the man that has no credibility? ** Listen to the entire presentation given to about 150 people who scattered the RHS High School auditorium on Thursday night 11/13/08. WEENIES .. or PATRIOTS
You decide. After all, it's up to "THE PEOPLE."
Let us know what you think: PegNews@wpeg.net
Our ancestors molded and left America to us to keep and guard.
Citizens are bound by the statutes of law and governed by the free flow of information from their government.
They also left some anecdotes to remind us of how and why they molded our world.
Let's start with some basics . . .
(Mr. Red Skelton states this so eloquently in his descriptive citation of the Pledge of Allegiance. ) (listen)
"Stop me when I lie"
--Mr. Ted Nugent--
"Good intentions will always be pleaded for any assumption of power.
The (US) Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions.
There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern.
They promise to be good masters . . . but they mean to be masters."
--Daniel Webster --
The law must be consonant with life. It cannot and should not ignore broad
historical currents of history. Mankind is possessed of no greater urge than to
try to understand the age-old questions "Who am I ?", and "Why am I?". Even now
the sands and ashes of the continents are being sifted to find where we made our
first steps as man.
Religions of mankind often include ancestor worship in one
way or another. For many the future is blind without sight of the past. Those
emotions and anxieties that generate our thirst to know the past are not
superficial and whimsical.
They are real and they are "good cause" under the law of man and God."

Carolina Circuit Court Judge
